Redefining Sustainability Through Style and Substance: An Earth Month Evening in NYC

This Earth Month, BAMPT had the honor of attending a two-part evening that brought together leaders across fashion, food, and climate tech to explore the future of sustainability.

Co-hosted by Another Tomorrow, Vestiaire Collective, west~bourne, Planet FWD, and The WIE Suite, the event began with a panel at the Another Tomorrow flagship in SoHo, followed by an intimate dinner at TIWA Gallery titled Of Soil and Soul.

Both spaces held thoughtful energy. The event wasn’t about surface-level solutions. It was about looking deeper at the systems that shape what we wear, what we eat, and how we lead.

Fashion as Agriculture

Vanessa Barboni Hallik, founder of Another Tomorrow, spoke about the importance of seeing clothing through the same lens we apply to food. Natural fabrics, she emphasized, start with farms. To truly embrace sustainability, we need to adopt a mindset of “farm to closet,” considering the impact of fiber sourcing and agricultural practices.

This framing resonated deeply. As a creative studio, we often say that branding starts long before a product reaches the customer. The supply chain is part of the story.

Circularity, Reimagined

Samina Virk of Vestiaire Collective shared how resale is evolving beyond trend to become a long-term behavior shift. As one of the leading platforms for pre-loved fashion, Vestiaire is not only making circularity accessible, but also aspirational.

Julia Collins of Planet FWD brought in the tech perspective. Her work focuses on providing brands with data to better understand and reduce their climate impact. Her presence reminded us that climate solutions aren’t limited to any one sector — they require collaboration across industries.

Regeneration at the Table

At dinner, chef and founder Camilla Marcus of west~bourne extended the conversation to food. Her commitment to regenerative sourcing and zero-waste hospitality practices offered a tangible model for how values can be integrated into everyday operations. The meal served that night reflected those principles.

A Room Full of Intention

The second half of the evening, Of Soil and Soul at TIWA Gallery, invited guests to show up in vintage or pre-loved clothing. The fashion was personal, expressive, and rich with character. It spoke to individuality, but also to a shared commitment to slowing down, rethinking consumption, and honoring story over trend.

The tone of the evening wasn’t about urgency or guilt. It was about thoughtful presence. About how we choose to show up, in our clothes, our businesses, and our communities.

BAMPT Perspective: Where Style Meets Strategy

Events like this are a reminder that great branding is more than visuals. It’s about building a system of meaning, one that extends from sourcing to storytelling. Whether you’re a fashion label, a climate tech startup, or a wellness brand, the values you embody should show up across every touchpoint.

If your brand is ready to deepen its story and connect more meaningfully with conscious consumers, let’s talk. This is where style meets strategy.
